Terms of service

These terms govern the services provided by NexaFob at our Mississauga locations and through this website. By booking an appointment, submitting a fob check, or having work performed, you agree to them.

Authorization to duplicate

You must be the authorized holder of any credential you ask us to duplicate — the registered owner or tenant of the unit, or someone acting with their express permission. You confirm this when you book or submit a request.

Some condominium declarations, leases and workplace policies restrict or prohibit duplication of building credentials. It is your responsibility to check your own agreement before ordering a spare. We may decline any job at our discretion, and we will decline where authorization appears to be absent.

We do not duplicate credentials that have been reported lost or stolen to a building, and we do not duplicate vehicle immobiliser keys or credentials tied to restricted government or institutional systems.

Pricing and quotes

Prices listed on this website are in Canadian dollars and are shown before applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Your final price is confirmed after a free reading of your credential, before any work begins.

Prices quoted through the Fob Checker are estimates based on the photos and description you provide. They are confirmed once we read the physical credential. If the credential turns out to be a different technology than the photos suggested, the price changes accordingly and we will tell you before proceeding.

If we are unable to complete a duplication, there is no charge for the attempt.

Warranty

Fob copies carry a warranty for the period shown on the relevant service page, which is twelve months unless stated otherwise. If a copy stops working at the reader it was made for within that period, bring it back with proof of purchase and we will replace it at no charge.

The warranty does not cover physical damage, loss, credentials deactivated by the building or system operator, changes to the building's access control system, or copies used at a system other than the one they were made for.

Appointments

Booking an appointment reserves a time slot and is free. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is required. If you cannot make your slot, please let us know so we can release it.

Photos you submit

Photos submitted through the Fob Checker or a booking form are used to identify your credential and prepare your quote. We do not publish them. See our privacy policy for retention details.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost access, missed appointments or costs charged by a building or landlord.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
